Facilities of St. James's
The Nave of the church comfortably seats 500 people with a choir loft above the narthex. The lower level of the church houses a choir room and an office for the music director.
Handicapped access to the ground floor level of all buildings is available from the parking lot entrance. An elevator allows for handicapped access to the middle and lower levels of the Parish House.
The Parish House has a Chapel which seats 65, the Church office and offices of the Rector, Assistant Rector and Director of Religious Education. The Parish Hall, Dining Room, Kitchen and Parish Room with small kitchen provide facilities for various parish activities as well as the use by outside groups. There are several classrooms for Christian Education programs. Rest rooms are located in the front of the church (narthex) and all levels of the Parish House.
The parish is committed to good stewardship of its extensive buildings, which are used by many groups throughout the week, in addition to the Sunday congregation. Several AA meetings meet regularly at St. James's. From time to time, neighborhood organizations rent space for programs which cannot readily be housed in their own facilities.

In the past, the church cemetery was an integral part of the life of the parish, but with increased urbanization and space limitations this opportunity is no longer practical. To offer a modern equivalent, St. James's has a wonderful memorial garden that is set beside the church. It is a beautiful setting that offers both convenience and comfort. Ashes are interred directly into the ground and a bronze memorial plaque hangs on a wall in the entrance of the church with the names and dates of all whose ashes are buried in the garden.
